Frequently Asked Questions

FAQs

Who do you work with?

I provide therapy for adults (18+) in California via telehealth. I specialize in helping people navigate identity wounds, anxiety, relational challenges, and the impacts of emotionally immature or narcissistic caregivers.

What can I expect in my first session?

Our first session is an opportunity to get to know each other, explore your goals, and decide if we’re a good fit. I’ll explain my approach and answer any questions you have. Therapy is collaborative, and you’re in control of the pace and focus.

How do I know if therapy is right for me?

If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or longing for change but aren’t sure where to start, therapy can help. You don’t have to have everything figured out to begin — just a willingness to explore and heal.

What types of therapy do you offer?

I work from a psychodynamic, trauma-informed lens and incorporate somatic tools, and intuitive methods like astrology or tarot if desired. We’ll tailor your therapy to your unique needs.

How often are sessions?

Most clients start with weekly 50-minute sessions, but we can adjust frequency as needed based on your goals and life demands.

What if I need to cancel or reschedule?

Please give at least 48 hours’ notice for cancellations or reschedules to avoid a fee. I understand emergencies happen — just communicate as soon as you can.

How do you protect my privacy?

Confidentiality is a cornerstone of therapy. I comply with HIPAA regulations and use a secure, encrypted client portal for all documentation, communication, and billing.

What if I’m not sure if you’re the right therapist for me?

It’s okay to explore options. I offer a free 15-minute consultation to answer your questions and see if we’re a good match. If not, I’m happy to help you find someone better suited to your needs.
