Somatic & Integrative Therapy
Based in Los Angeles | Virtual Therapy Across California
Depth oriented psychotherapy that integrates nervous system work, attachment, and deeper processing approaches such as brainspotting, with optional symbolic reflection.
When Insight Is Not Enough
You may already understand your patterns.
You can trace them back to childhood.
You know why you react the way you do.
You have read the books. Listened to the podcasts.
And still your body tightens.
Your chest constricts.
You spiral in relationships.
You shut down when conflict appears.
Insight alone does not calm a nervous system.
This is where our work becomes more than understanding.
This is where it becomes embodied.
What Somatic &
Integrative Therapy Means
My approach is relational, depth oriented, and grounded in nervous system awareness.
Somatic therapy helps us notice what happens in your body when something feels overwhelming, activating, or unsafe. Instead of pushing through, we slow down and build capacity to stay present with what is happening.
Over time, small shifts in regulation can create meaningful change in how you experience yourself and your relationships.
We work with:
• Attachment patterns
• Emotional memory
• Trauma held in the body
• Relationship triggers
• Identity formation
• Survival adaptations
At times, we may also incorporate brainspotting, a focused approach that allows us to access and process experiences held deeper in the brain and nervous system. This can be especially helpful when you understand your patterns but still feel stuck in them.
What is brainspotting?
Brainspotting is a gentle, focused approach that helps access and process experiences held deeper in the brain and nervous system.
It can be especially helpful when you already understand your patterns, but still feel stuck in them.
Instead of trying to think your way through something, we allow your system to process it in a more direct and supported way.
This work is always collaborative and paced in a way that feels safe and manageable.
A nervous system focused approach
Your nervous system learned to protect you.
Maybe that looks like:
• Hyper independence
• Over functioning
• People pleasing
• Emotional shutdown
• Anxiety that spikes in closeness
• Chronic tension or fatigue
These responses are not character flaws.
They are intelligent adaptations.
In therapy, we gently support your system in updating these patterns, at a pace that feels safe and sustainable.
Integrative & Intuitive Layers
At its core, this is grounded psychotherapy.
For clients who are interested, we may also incorporate reflective tools such as:
• Dream exploration
• Archetypal or symbolic themes
• Astrology as a framework for identity and relational patterns
Astrology is not predictive or diagnostic.
It can offer language for understanding attachment, relational dynamics, core wounds, and strengths.
Some clients find this deeply validating.
Others prefer a more traditional clinical approach.
Both are welcome.
Everything remains collaborative and rooted in psychological care.
What Sessions Feel Like
Sessions are relational and paced to your nervous system.
We pay attention to:
• Emotional shifts
• Body sensations
• Relational patterns as they unfold in real time
• Moments of activation or withdrawal
You do not need to organize your story perfectly.
We work with what is present, allowing both insight and deeper processing to unfold together.
Over time, you may notice:
• Less reactivity
• More emotional range
• Greater clarity in relationships
• Stronger boundaries
• Increased self trust
• A nervous system that feels more steady
